SQLDeveloper grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the free version of SQLDeveloper subject to these Terms. For users with a paid Pro subscription, the license extends to include the features offered in that subscription tier.
You may:
- Use SQLDeveloper for personal and commercial database management
- Install SQLDeveloper on multiple machines you own or control
- Share SQLDeveloper with your team members or organization
- Use it for educational purposes
- Use it in client projects (both free and Pro versions)
You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, or commercially sell SQLDeveloper
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Remove or alter copyright, patent, or other proprietary notices
- Use SQLDeveloper to create competing database tools
- Circumvent license activation or usage limitations
2. Use of Service
You agree to use SQLDeveloper only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not use SQLDeveloper for:
- Illegal activities or violating any applicable laws or regulations
- Accessing databases without proper authorization
- Transmitting malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Interfering with the operation of our services

3. Database Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- Your database connections and credentials
- Backing up your databases and data
- Obtaining all necessary permissions to access databases
- Complying with database licensing terms
- The consequences of any queries you execute
- Maintaining data security and access controls
SQLDeveloper is a database management tool. We are not responsible for data loss, corruption, or any consequences resulting from your use of the tool or queries you execute.
4. Payment and Subscription Terms (Pro Version)
If you subscribe to the Pro version:
- Billing: You will be charged the subscription fee monthly or annually as selected
- Auto-Renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel before the renewal date
- Cancellation: You can cancel anytime through your account settings
- Refund Policy: We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for Pro subscriptions
- Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards through PCI-compliant payment processors
- Failed Payments: If payment fails, we will attempt to retry. Service may be suspended if payment cannot be collected
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
SQLDeveloper is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:
- Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement of third-party rights
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content
You use SQLDeveloper at your own risk. We do not guarantee any specific results or outcomes from using our Service.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SQLDeveloper and its creators shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities
- Any damage to your databases or systems
- Any liability exceeding the amount paid for the service in the past 12 months
This limitation applies regardless of the cause of action or theory of liability (contract, tort, or otherwise).
7. Intellectual Property Rights
SQLDeveloper, including all code, design, documentation, and materials, is owned by SQLDeveloper Team. All rights are reserved.
You retain all ownership rights to any data, databases, or content you create using SQLDeveloper. However, by using SQLDeveloper, you grant us a limited license to use any feedback, suggestions, or improvements you provide.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to SQLDeveloper immediately if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in illegal or unauthorized activity
- You breach the license granted to you
- We determine continued access poses a risk or liability
Upon termination, your right to use SQLDeveloper ceases immediately. We may delete your account data after a reasonable notice period.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SQLDeveloper Team operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any legal action or proceeding must be brought exclusively in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.
10. Changes to Terms
SQLDeveloper may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of SQLDeveloper after changes indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SQLDeveloper regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid.

14. Third-Party Databases

We are not responsible for any issues, compatibility problems, or disputes with third-party databases or their providers.
15. Acceptance of Terms
BY DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, OR USING SQLDEVELOPER, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS OF SERVICE.
